This weekend Tamandua – joined by partner Briki – will come to Zürich for a suspension and play-focused rope workshop on Saturday & Sunday. They will teach a mix of fairly simple and challenging ways of tying based on some of Tamandua's currently most frequently used ties.
Saturday & Sunday – suitable for people with an intermediate up to an advanced experience level – each day will start with guided improvisation-based exercises. This gives us time to bond with our partner and rope while practicing what can be described as some of the more subtle, or intuitive skills relating to our tying. Before the lunch break, there will be a pattern run-through and technical practice of a suspendable harness: Tamandua’s hands-in-front harness on day 1 and his preferred way to tie Takate Kote on day 2.
In the afternoons we work on longer, complex full-suspension shapes using the harnesses from the morning. These require a certain level of commitment from both rigger and model and can be rather challenging. To contrast these challenges there will also be the opportunity to learn a more straightforward, minimalist tie in the same afternoon.
The event is sold out - if you can attend spontaneously with a partner, getting on the waiting list may be an option!.
